February’s RTP180 Topic | Opioids
It has been described as a nation-wide epidemic, a crisis, and something we have gone to war over. Opioid related deaths have risen over 800% in North Carolina since 1999. This is an issue many Americans are dealing with, and it is something affecting our backyard. Join us on February 15th to hear from 4 experts from around The Triangle on the research being done surrounding opioids, stigmas attached to the drugs, and strategies to combat this epidemic.
Speakers
Dr. Lauren McCormack | RTI
Scott Luetgenau | Southlight Healthcare
Dr. Nabarun Dasgupta | University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Mike Bajorek | Town of Cary
In lieu of Q&A at the end of each speaker’s presentation, we will hold a quick panel with our 4 experts at the end of the program. Have a question you want asked? Email frystock@rtp.org
