DESCRIPTION

Have you ever wondered what makes Fitbit more than just a cool bracelet or that health App on your phone more than just education or entertainment? CHAI Core invites researchers and project managers to attend a lunch and learn workshop focusing on the Behavior Change Techniques (BCTs) Taxonomy, a new language in behavioral science and interventions. Over the course of an hour and a half, experts in the field will:

  • Introduce the BCT Taxonomy
  • Explain their value in intervention design, proposal writing, and manuscript preparation
  • Explore the BCTs used by Fitbit and other intervention examples
  • Recommend resources available on campus to ensure your interventions are including effective, evidence-based components

Reserve your spot now as space is limited! And if you need any additional persuasion, a delicious, healthy lunch will be provided. Please email Sarah Mye at smye@email.unc.edu if you have any questions or need additional “verbal persuasion” (A BCT!). We hope to see you on October 18th!
