MedTech Breakthrough, an organization that works to honor excellence in medical and health technology companies, released the winners of its 2018 MedTech Breakthrough Awards.
This year’s program garnered more than 3,000 nominations from across the globe. The award categories honor leadership, clinical and health administration, patient engagement, EHRs, genomics, internet of things, medical data, mobile communications and teleheatlh, cybersecurity and devices. Each category is then subdivided into a series of subcategories.
Here are eight featured winners, as noted on MedTech Breakthrough’s website:
1. Healthcare insurance innovation award: Clover Health
2. Best overall patient engagement solution: Vocera Communications
3. Best EHR service: DocuTap
4. Best sleep monitoring solution: Philips
5. Best overall mHealth solution: Humana
6. Best overall telehealth solution: SnapMD
7. Best internet of things fitness wearable: Apple
8. Best personal genome testing service: 23andMe
