First Flight ‘Itineraries’

First Flight Venture Center is delighted to host lunch time programs, “Itineraries,” that offer a chance for members of the First Flight community and broader innovation ecosystem to learn about the work of early stage science-focused companies, network and have some fun at the same time!

The May 21st Itinerary will be FFVC’s 4th Quarterly BARDA DRIVe meeting, welcoming:

  • Veena Misra, Ph.D., IEEE Fellow; Director, NSF ASSIST Nanosystems Center; and Distinguished Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NC State
  • Rowan Cade, BARDA DRIVe representative

Veena will be discussing what she sees in the next 10 years in the field of self-powered devices to help people monitor their health, the applicability of ASSIST’s work to DRIVe, health care and clinical use cases.

Rowan will be discussing future BARDA DRIVe opportunities and FAQs.
