Product Innovation Lab at NC State brings graduate level students from the Colleges of Management, Engineering and Design into cross-functional teams to explore start-up company concepts over the course of a single semester. Fall semester teams demonstrate functional prototypes of their product concepts and present their go-to market strategies. Attendees are encouraged to engage with the teams directly, challenge their assumptions and offer suggestions for how they might continue work post-class. Attendees and secret judges in the audience will grade the teams and award “investor dollars” to select the best in show startup concept. RIoT awards the top teams free co-working space to pursue their start-up in the spring semester.
